Funeral services for Mr. Bennie Jack Hughes will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 5, 2022, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, with Reverend Steve Cripps officiating.
Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Gardens, Pollock, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mr. Hughes, 80, of Ball, entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Tioga Community Care Center, Pineville, LA.
He was a native of Simsboro and a retired truck driver.
He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran, serving in the Six-Day War.
He was an avid fisherman, and he loved tinkering and building things. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Stella June Hughes; his parents, Benjamin and Beulah Hughes; and one grandson, Jacob Benjamin Hughes.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include one son, George Hughes, and his wife, Jana, of Ball; two daughters, Faye Harris, and her husband, Jerry, of Ruston, and Pam Valdepena, and her husband, Dennis, of Kingman, Kansas; one brother, Willie B. Hughes, of Ruston; three sisters, Virginia Cripps, of Whitehall, Maudie McDaniel, of Pioneer, and Daisy Chambless, of Owensboro, Kentucky; five grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Friday, February 4, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Pallbearers honored to serve are: Lonnie Salard, Danny Smith, Daren Smith, Roy Hebron, Eddie Harrison, Mason Williams, Bralyn Cripps, and Bryan Clark.
