Kathryn Abbey Gibson, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at the age of 73.
A graveside service will be on Friday, March 4, 2022, at 10:00am at Green Hills Cemetery.
Ms. Gibson grew up in Buffalo, New York and moved down south after she finished school.
She served as a secretary for several years at Bush Memorial Baptist Church.
Her coffee cup and a good book was the great start to her day.
She loved working on crafts and needlework, as well as taking care of her favorite flower, pansies.
Going antiquing and decorating her home with the special sales she found was one of the joys of her life.
She will be remembered as a kind, generous lady who was always thoughtful and giving to others.
She will be missed by all who knew her, especially her dear grandson whom she loved so well.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen & Rita Abbey and her brother, Gary Abbey.
