The funeral for Thomas Allison Abernathy, 75, of Panama City, FL, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, September 27, at Spry funeral Home. Burial will be in Oneal Cemetery.

Mr. Abernathy died Friday, September 24, at Panama City, FL. He was born November 17, 1928 in Limestone County to Henry and Florence Abernathy.

He was a member of the Church of Christ, a World War II Army veteran and a retired brick mason.

He is survived by three sons, Jerry Abernathy of Chicago, IL, Chris Abernathy of Salem, Wis., and Mike Abernathy of San Francisco, CA.; three daughters, Tina Abernathy, Gail Abernathy and Susie Abernathy, all of Salem, Wis.; three brothers, Lifford Abernathy of Athens, Billy Wayne Abernathy of Palatka, FL, and Dennis C. Abernathy of Gladewater, TX; two sisters, Gladys Brown and Ethel Clark, both of Athens and five grandchildren.
