Grace Carran Ackles, 88, of Burwell, Nebraska died March 23, 2022 at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell.
Grace's wishes were to not have a service.
Grace was born June 25, 1933 in Hyannis, Nebraska to Fred and Myrtle (Vaughn) Taylor.
Grace married Donald Dwain Ackles on March 29, 1952 in Burwell.
They later bought a ranch in the Sandhills north of Burwell near their families' homes. Over the years they worked hard to build up their ranch. Grace was a rancher at heart.
She and Don moved to Burwell due to Don's failing health in 2012. Don died September 24, 2016.
Grace is survived by a sister-in-law, Esther Taylor of Burwell, Nebraska, a brother-in-law, Larry Ackles and Bette Bates of Chambers, Nebraska, sister-in-law, Fay and Dennis Beumont of Broken Bow, Nebraska and a host of nieces and nephews.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Bill and Vera Taylor, Jim Taylor, Floyd Taylor and sisters, Loretta and Dale Mitchell, Lottie and George Graves and Alice as an infant, sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Dolan and Shirley and Bob Peters.
