FLEGE Lois Rummager, 102, widow of Robert Frederick Flege, died July 5 at her home in Lafayette Place, in Lexington. Bom in St. Mary's, West Virginia, on Jan 9, 1905, she was the daughter of Martin Henry Rummager and Dagmar Groce Rummager. She had lived in Irvine, KY, since the 1920's and moved to Lexington in 1955. Mrs. Flege is survived by one sister, Belva Nell Bush, of O'Fallon, IL, and by her son, Robert Fred Flege, of Bend, OR, and daughter, Lois Flege Pulliam, of Bedford, MA, as well as by nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. A homemaker and volunteer, Mrs. Flege was a long-time member of St. Michael the Archangel Episcopal Church in Lexington, a member of the D.A.R., and was for years a member of the Women's Club of Central Kentucky, Cardinal Hill Auxiliary, and the Homemakers' Book Club. She received the Outstanding Lexington Volunteer Award in 1983 for her work with American Red Cross, Blue Grass Chapter as a Grey Lady working at the V.A. Hospital. A memorial service will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Episcopal Church, at 2025 Bellefonte Drive in Lexington on Wed July 11, at 2pm. No visitation hours are planned. In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions to St. Michael the Archangel Episcopal Church, to the Bluegrass Chapter of the American Red Cross, 1450 Newtown Pike, Lexington, or to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY 40504. www.milwardfuneral.com
