MRS. ETHEL COMER
Funeral services for Ethel Abbott Comer, 68, of the Leesville Road, who died Sunday following a brief illness, will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church today at 2 p.m., with the pastor, Dr. J. A. Ellis, and the Rev. Lavelle Waters of Mount Zion Baptist Church, will be in charge. Mrs. Comer is survived by her husband, J. B. Comer; four sons J. B. Jr., now in Japan; John E. Comer, Port Arthur, Texas, Richard of Durham, and Bruce B. Comer of the Navy, now in Winchester, VA.; one daughter, Mrs. Clarence B. Johnson Junior, of Washington; three sisters, Mrs. J. G. Wheeler and Mrs. Hugh Wheeler, both of Oxford; and Mrs. Jasper Green of Washington; a brother, Grady C. Abbott of Clinton; nine grand children. Pallbearers will be Dwight Avery, James L Murphy, D. M. Peedy, Sam A. Jones, Henry Averette and Rupert Atkins. Interment will be in Oakwood.
