April 22, 1933 - April 26, 2022
Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Annie Dell Abels will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2022, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, with Reverend Jay Coleman officiating.
Interment will follow in Big Creek Cemetery, Pollock, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mrs. Abels, 89, of Ball, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, LA.
Annie had a tremendous zest for life and loved serving others, especially her family. She was a member of Solid Ground Worship Center and often volunteered at Main Street Baptist Mission. She was known as "Granny Annie" to most everyone, and to know her was to love her. She always enjoyed sitting on her back porch drinking coffee and spending time with the Lord. Annie was a social butterfly who loved being around people, socializing with her friends, playing dominoes, and traveling. Above all she was the happiest being surrounded by her family. Her love for Jesus, precious smile, and sweet spirit will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Earl Abels, Sr.; her daughter, Margaret Ann Malone and son-in-law, Larry Malone; and her parents, George and Ema Mae Shively.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include two sons, Earl Abels, Jr. and his wife, Connie, of Ball and Terry Abels, of Pollock; four grandchildren, Stacey Coleman, and her husband, Jay, of Denham Springs, Stephanie Fuglaar, and her husband, Chad, of Tioga, Kimberly Creamer of Alexandria, and Stephen Abels of Ball; ten great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Stephen Abels, Chad Fuglaar, Tyler Coleman, Bryce Coleman, Reece Coleman, and Paul Yost.
