Barbara Jean Adkins, age 75, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022 in Abingdon, Virginia. She was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and a former employee of The Dickenson Rental Assistance. She was preceded in death by parents, Fred and Chloe Mullins; her brothers, Bill Mullins, Pat Mullins, Cecil Mullins, and Hatler Mullins: her sisters, Versie Mullins, Ilene Mullins, Martha Yates, and Janice Jesse.
Survivors Include:
Her Husband: Rodney Adkins
Her Son: Rick Mullins and fiancé, Carla Bresee of Big Stone Gap, Virginia
Two Grandchildren: Nathaniel Parker Mullins and Benjamin Dean Mullins
Special Friend: Loretta Hall
The family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. with Dr. Joseph Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in the Mullins Cemetery, Tarpon Section, Clintwood, Virginia.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
