Mrs. Obie Beatrice (Bea) Abbott, 96, of Chipley, Florida passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at Jackson Hospital in Marianna, Florida. She was born on September 5, 1911 in Chipley, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hughie Garfield Abbott, Sr. Two daughters Martha Jeanette Trevett and Barbara Joan Clift, and One brother Charles Newton. Survivors include two sons: Hughie Garfield Abbott Jr. (Man) from Chipley, Fl. and William David Abbott (Rusty) from Smith Station, Al. Two daughters: Mary Elizabeth Davis from Albany, OR. And Elaine Waters from Okeechobee, Fl. and 21 grandchildren and many great grandchildren , great great grandchildren and great, great, great grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 2:00p.m.with visitation 1 hour prior at the chapel of Brown Funeral Home (Hwy 77) with James C. Waters officiating.. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Chipley, Fl. w ith Brown Funeral Home directing.
