Oscar attended school with his siblings and married for the 1st time in Oct 1916 to Ethel Bradley at Clark Co., Washington. The marriage ended in divorce. He married a 2nd time to Mabel Anna Stevenson, a Portland, Oregon native, b. June 3rd, 1885. He worked in the Portland shipyard during World War II. Tragically, Mabel lost her life all too soon; she was a passenger in a motor vehicle accident involving three cars as they crossed the Ross Island bridge in Portland, Oregon on December 14th, 1946. Her injuries were massive and she died enroute to the hospital. Her bereaved husband buried her at Lone Fir Cemetery. In 1949, Oscar married one last time, to Dorothy V. Mitchell, who had been married and divorced twice. Oscar worked as a Portland firefighter for many years, also part time as a bartender. He was diagnosed with Pulmonary Emphysema and suffered from it for 10 years before succumbing to it at Good Samaritan hospital on October 10th, 1964. He willed his body to the Oregon Health Sciences University (in Portland, Oregon) Anatomy Dept. for research. May he Rest in Eternal Peace with his loved ones.
