Anna Duncan (full Alaska native) was born in 1884 in Klukwan, Alaska, a Tlingit village near Haines, Alaska. She and her family traveled between Klukwan and Whitehorse, Canada often.
She met Joe Adamson in Haines while he was stationed at Ft Seward while in the Army. After he was discharged from the army they settled in Douglas, Alaska, near Juneau. They had 4 children: Frances, John, Annabelle and Alberta. When Alberta was a baby, Anna died of one of the "white man diseases" such as smallpox or typhoid…

Gravesite Details

The grave is unmarked but I believe is under a tree near a corner. She and one of her sisters are buried next to each other.
