Fred K. Abbott, age 75 of Madison, GA died Thursday, July 7, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred W. and Janet Abbott; and sister, Judy Seagraves. He is survived by his wife, Terri Abbott; sons and daughters-in-law, Brad Abbott (Lindsay), Jeremy Boutelle (Tonia); daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Derek Frachiseur; grandchildren, Anna Grace Boutelle, Sophia Boutelle, Lucas Abbott, Grady Boutelle, Jake Frachiseur, Samantha Abbott; sisters and brothers-in-law, Deborah Hogeland (Tommy), Pam Tucker (Allen), Patti Sexton (Allan); brother and sister-in-law, Donnie Abbott (Janice); numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Fred was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was saved and baptized as a teenager at Mt. Carmel Christian Church. He was a United States Marine Combat Veteran; serving two tours in Vietnam, December 1966 through August 1968. As a member of Plumber and Pipefitters Local 72, he was in good standing and had received his 50-year pin. Fred was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren in all of their sports. He loved his family, friends, God, country, and his dog and constant companion, Belle.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 10, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Terry Sinyard, Dave Piper, and Carey Lowe officiating; interment will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church in Stockbridge.
