Louise R. Abb, age 93, of Escanaba, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 3, 2015. Louise was born January 1, 1922 in Escanaba, the daughter of William and Clara (Peron) Roberge. At the age of 8, Louise and her family moved to Wilson. She graduated from the Harris High School in 1938 at the age of 16. Louise returned to Escanaba and attended Cloverland College for two years. Louise worked for the Social Security Administration for several years and for State Bank in Escanaba for 39 years, eventually working her way up to Assistant Vice President. She was also a longtime member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Escanaba. Louise was united in marriage to Robert F. Abb on October 25, 1969.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 1977. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 7 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Skradski Family Funeral Home in Escanaba. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, August 8 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church in Escanaba, with Fr. Fran DeGroot officiating. A luncheon will follow the services in the church fellowship hall. Louise will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells.
