James "Jim" Eli Abee, 84 of Deltona, Florida passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. He was born on November 4, 1936 in Dahlonega, Georgia to Fred Abee and Emma Barrett. Jim served in the United States Air Force before working for County Services as a Food Service Manager. Jim was the last of his thirteen siblings. He was preceded in death by parents, Emma and Fred Abee; sisters and brothers, Bobbie, Bonnie, Christine, Doris, Iola, Charles, Christopher, Fred, George, Herbert, Morris, and Roy; son, Carey; daughter, Pamela; and first wife and mother of his children, Joyce. Survivors include wife, Rhonda Abee; daughters, Pattie Jenkins and Melinda Abee; and former spouse, Wynette Abee; Stepchildren, Barbara, Sammie , and Tammy; grandchildren, Allison Anderson, John Eli Jenkins and, Mason Abee; step grandchildren Austin, Brandon and Caitlyn; and, Special Caregiver, Gail Hendrix, who he called his "guardian angel." Memorial services will be announced later but are expected to be held in Florida, in early spring. Jim was loved by more than he knew and will be missed in more ways than can be expressed.
