William A Adair

William A. "Bill" Adair, 83, of Albany, GA, died September 29, 2022 at his daughter's residence in Boerne, TX. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 7, 2022 at 10:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. David Cromie will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.

Bill was born on September 28, 1939 in Albany, GA to Robert and Margaret Adair. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda in 2021.

Bill enjoyed a long career as a vocational instructor specializing in metal work and welding. Throughout his life, Bill found pleasure in spending time on the lake fishing and skiing with family and friends with the occasional get away to St. George Island. Upon retirement, Bill developed a love for the game of golf, and could be seen regularly at local courses, never recording more than bogey on a hole. Bill loved his grandchildren, Jackson and Olivia, and did his best to pass on his love of all things western and hatred of corn to both of them. Olivia is as western as it gets and Jackson hates corn. Bill was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Linda, and outstanding father to his daughter, Valerie, and was a steady rock for them both. He would patiently encourage you to "give it a rest, Linda" if you were talking too much when the power went out (inside joke).

Survivors include his daughter, Valerie (Andy) Rogler of Boerne, TX, his grandchildren, Jackson and Olivia Rogler both of Lubbock, TX, his siblings, Rod Adair and Doug Adair both of Albany, GA.
