Robert "Rob" Charles Abbott passed away Tuesday February 16, 2021 in San Diego at the age of 52. He was a beloved son, brother, cousin, uncle and friend to so many. Rob was the youngest son of Merle and Edwina Abbott, grew up in Big Rapids, Michigan with his siblings, Jeff and Melinda. They grew up riding motorcycles, hunting, camping and swimming and kayaking at the Family Cabin with his friends and family.Rob attended Big Rapids High School, played football and worked out often in high school. He worked in real estate and property management both in Michigan and San Diego. He possessed indisputable people skills and radiant positive energy. He loved playing tennis, raising well-trained dogs and spending time with family at the cabin on the Rifle River in Michigan. He lived his life to the fullest, despite of his kidney disease, making his mark on people he met. He never let his health issues prevent him from living his life, even before his kidney transplant in 2016, a kidney lovingly donated by his niece, Leah.He is survived by his father, Merle; brother, Jeff; and sister, Melinda. There will be a virtual Celebration of Life on Saturday March 13, 2021 at 2 pm (PT)/5 pm (ET).
