She was an only child raised by her parents Leo and Margaret Coleman. Margaret attended the local schools, and upon graduation she met and later married the love of her life, Edward Abbott. They were married June 27, 1936 in St.Louis. The couple was blessed with four sons: Jim, Bob, Bill and Dan. Margaret was a very busy mother taking care of four active boys. She enjoyed playing cribbage, dominos and pinochle with her family and friends. Margaret had a wonderful personality and always made everyone feel welcome. It was in her nature to make everyone comfortable. After Ed's retirement, the couple relocated to Lincoln County. They became very active in Trinity Lutheran Church and she was always helping whenever needed.
Margaret is survived by her sons: Jim and Gloria Abbott of Troy, Bob and Brenda Abbott of St.Charles, Bill and Betsy Abbott of Texas, and Dan and Judy Abbott of Troy; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband.
