Linda Gail Pauley Rayfield, age 71 of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 17, 2022.

She is survived by her children, Stephen Rayfield (Jared Bates) of Chapel Hill, NC, and Paula Hamrick (Brad) of Shelby, NC, three grandchildren, Wesley Hamrick (Taylor), Jon-Michael Hamrick (Allison), and Briar Rayfield-Bates, five great grandchildren, C.J. Hamrick, Keegan Hamrick, Brystol Hamrick, Cooper Hamrick, and Ryleigh Hamrick and two brothers, Gary Pauley (Rose Whitt) of Shelby, NC, and Ray Pauley (Kathy) of Forest Hills, KY, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born April 11, 1951 in Mingo County, WV, Linda was the daughter of the late Jack and Irma Owens Pauley and was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cleveland Rayfield, and a brother, Herman Pauley (Sherry).

Linda was a loving wife, mother, sister, and "MiMi" to her own and everyone she met. She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church where she served on the decorating committee and sung in the choir. Linda enjoyed traveling, shopping, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends; she never met a stranger. The family is heartbroken, but also heart-filled because it was impossible to not have a full heart when you had her in your life.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Timothy Sims and Rev. Tom Runyon. A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00pm prior to the service at the church. A private burial will be held at Hillcrest Gardens in Mt. Holly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
