MOULTRIE, GA – Marvin Larry Abercrombie, 80, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Robert McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 AM Saturday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Born September 27, 1942, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Marvin Stephens Abercromie and Era Gregory Abercrombie. Mr. Larry was a United States Army Veteran who was extremely dedicated to his country. He retired from Proctor and Gamble as a line technician and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Larry loved his family dearly and was eagerly waiting for his granddaughter to graduate from UGA. He was a huge Colquitt County Packer supporter, a Dawg Nation Fan and was a member of the "Hardee's Breakfast Club".
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Tucker Abercrombie; sister, Amarylis Blender Abercrombie Jordan.
