Patsy Adams Turbeville, age 89, of the Gapway Community, died Thursday, December 1, 2022 in the Lower Cape Fear Brunswick Hospice House in Bolivia, NC. Born October 26, 1933 in Horry County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Homer E. Adams and Retha Mae Rackley Adams and the widow of Jennis Turbeville.

She is survived by two daughters, Karin Conner and her husband Gene of Southport, NC and Marilyn Turbeville Dowless and her husband John W. "Buster" of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; one brother, Jack Adams and wife Pat of Yorktown, VA; seven grandchildren, Tabitha Soles, Holly Buffkin, Christina Norris, Jenina Sellers, Chris Conner Mary Elizabeth Dowless Fairfax, John William Dowless II ; six great grandchildren, Eliza Grace Fairfax, Upton William Fairfax, Kalyn Buffkin, Seth Buffkin, Jackson Norris and Elizabeth Griffin; one great great grandchild, Carter Gray Buffkin; special additions to the family, Fiona Anderson, Rachel Prentice and Savannah Prentice; and special caregivers, daughter, Marilyn Turbeville Dowless, Priscilla Watts and Sandy Hemingway.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Janet Nell Gwyn and Patricia Kay Phipps; one brother, Charles Waldon Adams; and two sisters, Jean A. Norris and Sylvia Ann Hannah.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 3:30 PM in the Gapway Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Gapway Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
