Marshall Aaron, age 76, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Baptist Health Hardin, Elizabethtown, KY.

Marshall was born on August 9, 1946 in Russell Springs, KY to the late Lilburn "Nub" Aaron and Janis Johnson Aaron. He was a retired English Professor at Somerset Community College and a Veteran of the US Navy.

He is survived by his children, Marsha Lawson (Michael) of Somerset, Micah Aaron (Janet) of Elizabethtown, KY, Chelsea Vaughn, of Port St Joe, FL, Brittany Aaron (Alex) of Somerset; grandchildren, Sadie Brinson, Aleah Aaron, Ezra Aaron, Jack Vaughn, Belle Vaughn, Gavin Lawson, Ava Lawson and Bo Vaughn; great grandson, Braxton Aaron.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Sharon "Kay" Aaron whom he married on January 23, 1970 and passed away on August 23, 2020 and his son in law, Nick Vaughn who passed away on October 23, 2021.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

His funeral service will follow on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Hall officiating. Burial will be at Mill Springs National Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post # 38 Honor Guard.
