He was a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Sunshine. He served six years in the Louisiana Army national Guard. Visiting at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Hwy, on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife, Yvonne Brooks Acaldo; Daughter & son in law, Cindy and Mark LeBlanc, of Prairieville; son & daughter in law, Brent and Nancy Acaldo, of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Tyler, Eric and Brody Acaldo, Tristan LeBlanc; brothers, Jay Acaldo and Bobby Acaldo. Preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Celina Acaldo, and sisters, Betty Breaux and Jo Anne Adams. He worked 36 years for Louisiana Farm Bureau Insurance Company and was active in the insurance Industry. He was a former president of the Property Insurance Association of Louisiana, former Chairman of the Louisiana Insurance Underwriting Plan, Past Vice President of the Louisiana Joint Reinsurance Plan and served on the Governing committee of The Louisiana Automobile Insurance Plan. In Addition to a successful Insurance Career, he was an avid hunter and gardener who loved passing along his knowledge to his children and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
