Kipp is survived by his mother, Sharon, La Fayette, IL; son, Krayten R. Abernathy, Kewanee; daughter, Kieryn R. Abernathy, Kewanee; brother, Brad (Marlo) Abernathy, Galesburg; aunts, Tina Abernathy and Tonya Abernathy, both of Galva; uncle, Clifford "Sonny" Preston, La Fayette; nephews, Zachary Abernathy, Bryce Abernathy, both of Galesburg; and cousins, Rick Preston, Geneseo, Ryan Preston, Modena. He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Wayne and Doris Abernathy; and maternal grandmother, Florence Preston.
Kipp was a mechanic by trade. Kipp enjoyed camping and fishing. Kipp especially enjoyed spending time with his children and having a good time with his friends.
A Celebration of Life will be from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, December 30, 2022, at the Kewanee American Legion. Burial will be in the La Fayette Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the family, for a memorial to be established.
