Donald W. Furrer
Donny is the type of man you cannot help but want to be around. His genuinely good hearted, strong yet gentle, compassionate, and caring personality makes you want to be a better person. Donny truly lives by the awesome values, morals, and ethics that were instilled in him. He is a hard worker, a great father, and an awesome husband. He is a nonjudgmental, fair man whose respect for others gains him respect in return. Donny is a quiet man with never ending patience and a calmness that would put anyone at ease. Donny is definitely an outdoorsman, his favorite things are fishing, cooking, and joking around with his friends and family. His favorite line was always, "You can't bs a bs'er". Donny always wanted others to be happy, and would take the backseat to put others first.
On Saturday, March 21st, 2020 one of the greatest men; whom I was lucky enough to love, closed his eyes and went to be with his brother. He is now free of the pain cancer caused him to endure for the first time in almost a year. Donny is a fighter, and I can honestly say he did not lose the battle; but, it grabbed ahold of him as he was fighting till the end.
Donald Wayne Furrer, was born on December 29, 1962 to Floyd and Marilyn Furrer, in Shakopee, Minnesota. Just before the birth of his younger brother, his mom & dad moved him along with his 4 older siblings to Colorado.
Donny began working when he was in the 10th grade, and in October of 1983 he married his first wife, Deanna Stephenson. In 1984, Donny was gifted with his son Brandon. Shortly after in 1986, Donny had his little girl, Krista. For the next 18 years he dedicated his life to teaching them the same morals, ethics, and values that he lived by.
In 2000, His first, of 8 grandchildren, was born. Donny worked hard as a concrete finisher/form-setter. He and Tami Doiel fell in love in the fall of 2008, and they have continued to love each other every day since.
Donny is survived by his father and mother, Floyd and Marilyn Furrer, his four siblings, Jeff Furrer, Lori Bearce, Suzie Crum, and Jerry Furrer. His children, Brandon Furrer, and Krista Huey, and step-children Amber Doiel, and Chaz and Shane Doiel-Regidor. His grandchildren and step grandchildren Colton, Jasmin, Marcus, Cash, Jeremiah, Annabella, Czar, and Brynlee. He is preceded in death by his older brother Douglas Furrer.
Donny and his brother Dougie will be having services held together, at a later date.
