Funeral services will be held on Tuesday for Anton Oberstaller, who died at a local hospital on Friday evening. Mr. Oberstaller was born in Augsburg, Germany on February 6, 1861, and came to the United States in 1884 to live in Jasper, Minnesota. In 1897, he was married in Pipestone, Minnesota to Rosine Sweitzer, and in 1908 moved to Plainview, South Dakota, where he homesteaded. He had been living in Rapid City since 1935. He had been in ill health for a number of years. A rosary service will be said at the Hobart Funeral Home chapel at 8 PM Monday. Services will be held at the Blessed Sacrament church at 10 AM Tuesday with the Reverend Father Bernard Drew officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of the Hobart Funeral Home. His wife preceded him in death in 1928.
