Obituary from Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport LA:
Elizabeth Ann James Aaron, age 81, passed away peacefully at her home in Stonewall, Louisiana on January 26, 2023.

Elizabeth was born in Whitesville, WV where her family lived in a coal mining camp. After moving to Louisiana as an adult, she lived in Keithville, LA, Waskom, TX, and then has called Stonewall, LA home since 1997.

Elizabeth worked a few different jobs in her life but the most rewarding for her was her career at Libbey Glass in Shreveport, LA. She dedicated herself to Libbey for many years. Her most loved hobby was gardening. She planted vegetables and flowers, with an impressive collection of daylilies. Home decorating was a passion of hers too, especially during the holidays and she loved collecting antique glassware and shopping.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father, Otis Wheeler James, her mother Violet Dickenson James, her brother Otis "Jimmie" James, sister, Donna James, and her children Carolyn Sue Coleman and Rodney Allen Stewart.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 22 years, Jerry Aaron, his adult children Jerry Aaron, Jr. (Dolly), Dixie Aaron, Stacey Aaron, and Kristie Morgan (Mack), and their children, her grandchildren, Melissa Ward (Mark), Paul Loyd, and Amanda Willcoxen; nine great-grandchildren, a host of other loved ones and friends, and her sweet dog Lil' Bit.

A Graveside service honoring Elizabeth's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Centuries Memorial Park.
