Minnie E. Deffenbaugh, 79, of Peoria, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at Accolade Healthcare of Peoria.
Minnie was born to Heye E. Look, Sr., and Beulah (Meisinger) Look, on March 14, 1943. She grew up in her Peoria County home, one of nine daughters and two sons. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Marguerite Look, Carrie Look, Kathy King, and JoAnn Keefauver.
She married Lester Deffenbaugh in 1986. He also preceded her in death.
Minnie spent life serving her family and community. She lovingly cared for her nieces and nephews and volunteered at South Side Mission for over 25 years. Crafting and painting were her lifelong hobbies.
Surviving Minnie are six siblings, Barbara Haley, Shirley Cramer, Heye Look, Jr., Rosie Lightbody, Debra Look, and Donald (Jeri) Look, and one brother-in-law, Mike King, all from the Peoria area. She also leaves her close friends, Donna and Randy Martin of Peoria Heights.
Her funeral will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Bartonville. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
