Ted A. Richardson, 72, of Elmwood, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria.

He was born December 29, 1950, in Canton, to Richard "Paul" and Edna "Irene" (Shaw) Richardson. He married Pamela Korth on August 21, 1999, in Elmwood. She survives.

He is also survived by four children, Jaclyn (Jeff) Banister of Mahomet, IL, Stacy (Dustin) Ackman of St. Charles, IL, Jeremy (Courtni) Stillson of Elmwood, IL, and Curt (Randi) Richardson of Geneva, IL; and one brother, Ray Richardson.

Ted served in the Army and was a member of the local V.F.W. and the American Legion. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Elmwood Fire Department for 25 years. He was also an insurance agent for Daley Insurance in Elmwood for over 49 years. He loved golfing, boating, and attending all sporting events for his kids and grandchildren. He was also an avid Cardinals fan.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A burial of his ashes will be held at Elmwood Township Cemetery.
