He was a retired farmer. He was a member of Mount Olive Church of Christ. He was predeceased by his wife, Ida Frances Cahoon Ainsley; a daughter, Statha Ainsley Jackson; and a son, Mitchell Ainsley. He was survived by two sons, two daughters, two brothers, nine grandchildren, and an extended family. Funeral held August 24, 1963, at Mount Olive Church of Christ with The Rev. Myron Elliott officiating.
