Bardwell, Kentucky
October 26, 1942 - May 7, 2023
Wanda Gale Myers Abanatha, age 80, of Bardwell, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.

Gale was born in Cairo, Illinois on October 26, 1942 to the late C.D. and Geneva Dublin Myers. She was a wonderful mom, wife, grandmother and friend. Gale was a selfless individual who was always more concerned with the wellbeing of others than herself. She loved her Shady Grove church family as well as her neighbors. Gale loved her Knock Out roses and she was a very hard worker prior to falling ill. She first worked at the shoe factory before she helped manage the family dairy farm for over 44 years with the love of her life, Royce Abanatha.

Gale is survived by her husband of 64 years, Royce Abanatha; her daughter, Ganeen Trevathan of Bardwell; two sisters, Gracie (Buddy) Nichols of Eddyville and Ruthie (Randall) McQuady of Barlow, Kentucky; and a grandson, Josh Trevathan of Bardwell.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Billy Trevathan, and her parents.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Bethlehem Cemetery in Cunningham with Bro. Zeke Hobbs and Bro. David Hendon officiating.
