James Russell Aaron, age 76, of Glasgow, died February 1, 2023. He was born in Flint, MI on July 6, 1946, to the late James Aaron and the late Maxine (Holbrook) Aaron. He was a Purple Heart Marine Corp Veteran serving in Vietnam from 1963 until 1966. When living in Flint, MI he was employed at the V-8 Engine Plant. After moving to Glasgow, KY, he started working at the Corvette plant in Bowling Green, KY where he retired from General Motors in May 2003. James attended Clio Schools in Clio MI and in 1975 and became one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He enjoyed golf, making walking sticks and creating model ships. He said "Wood is God's gift to man because you can make so many things out of it." He was known as a wonderful, great, and loving husband and father. James worked at many different golf tournaments and was hole 10 captain for Buick Open for many years. He volunteered and worked at Barren River Golf Course and was a member of Fox Hollow Golf Course, Glasgow, Kentucky. He once got a hole in one at Barren River Golf Course during the Highland Games. Mr. Aaron is survived by his wife of 45 years; children, grandchildren, sister, brother, Sister-in-law, several nieces and nephews also survive.
