Mrs. Adair was born in Linden, VA in 1923, was a bookkeeper and office administrator for the Washington D.C. law firm of Howrey, LLP, until she and Wally retired in 1984 and became full time residents of Boca Raton.
Mrs. Adair is survived by her sister, Elizabeth R. Camper and brother Kermit Nichols, both of Front Royal, VA; two step-daughters,, Jane May of Marietta, GA, and Diane Miller of Springfield, VA; a step-son, James Wallace Adair preceded her in death; three grandchildren, Laura Miller, John Miller, and David May; three nieces Gloria Nichols of Roanoke, VA, Rev. Sherry L. Waddell of Stephens City, VA, and Terry L. Wilson of Centreville, VA; three nephews, Larry W. Camper of Rockville, MD, Paul P. Waddell and Robert S. Waddell, both residents of Front Royal, VA.
A funeral service will be held on September 14, 2007 at Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal, VA, conducted by the Rev. Sherry L. Waddell. Family will receive friends at 10 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. service.
Interment will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery where Mr. and Mrs. J. Wallace Adair will be laid to rest.
