He was born April 18, 1943, in Ahoskie, NC, raised in Aulander, NC, and was a graduate of Aulander High School class of 1961.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Mittie Adams; and a brother, Monroe Adams. He is surviving by his loving wife of 44 years, Trena; as well as two adored sons and their wives, Lee and Beth Adams and Mark and Debbie Adams. He also leaves to cherish his memories his grandsons, "His Boys" Michael and Matthew Adams; and two granddaughters, "Baby Girl" Madeline and Grace Adams; a sister Virginia Cooke and husband Ray, of Ahoskie; two brothers, Tony Adams and wife Monica, of Ahoskie, and Danny Adams and wife Judy, of Ritzville, WA.
Mike worked as a Medic in the Army, a Shipbuilder at Newport News Shipbuilding and recently retired from the produce department after 15 years of service with Walmart, but his greatest joy came from caring for his family. He will always be known as "Pop" to his grandchildren whom he loved so dearly. He had a very close relationship with each of them.
