Mrs. Ida F. R. Abel, born December 6, 1862 in the state of Iowa, died January 25, 1931 at her home in Flora at the age of 68 years, one month and 19 days. She left to mourn her loss a husband, John Abel of Flora, one son Silas Webster of Brighton, eight grandchildren and four brothers living in Washington. Two other sons, William Webster and an infant have gone on before her.
In her early life she joined the church. She was always ready to help any one in need. In case of sickness she was summoned among the first to administer first aid in which she proved herself very capable. Her community work and friendship will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at Flora Monday, and were conducted by Rev. H.L. Ford of the Christian church of Enterprise.
