Affectionately known as "Felo" or "Fae", passed away on July 19, 2023 at home surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Feloniz was born in 1924 in Ranchitos, New Mexico. Throughout her life, Feloniz devoted much of her time to helping those in her community, most notably through her work with the Ancianos Senior Center. Feloniz was renowned for her many accomplishments, including being named a Taos Living Treasure in 2011 and an Unsung Hero by the Taos News. She was a fiercely kind and compassionate woman who was always generous with her love and her home. Christmas was her favorite season, as it was a time to be surrounded by those who loved her most. She enjoyed dancing, quilting, crocheting, baking, and of course, praying her rosary, all of which she considered essential in building a family and home she was proud of. Feloniz was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben E. Trujillo; her mother, Margarita Martinez; her father, Octaviano Montoya; her son, Octaviano "Otis" Trujillo; her daughter, Vickie Abalos and her husband Richard. Feloniz is survived by her daughter, Margie Anglada and her husband Louie; her son, Ben Trujillo and his wife Veronica; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and numerous God Children. Family and friends of Feloniz are invited to a Rosary service on August 3rd at 6PM to honor her memory. The following day, a Celebration of Life will be held at 10AM, both, at San Francisco de Asis Church in Ranchos de Taos, New Mexico. Expressions of condolences to the family or other wishes can be made at the services.
