❦ Early Life: Jake was born May 19, 1922, in Creston, Montana, to Ernest and Berthine E. Lee Jacobson. He attended grade school in Somers and graduated from Kalispell High School.
❦ Life's Work | Service | Interests: He served in the United States Army for 3½ years during World War II and was honorably discharged. On November 14, 1947, he married Bernice Rachel "Bee" Caverly Webster. Three years later, he married Blanche E. Simoneau Martin on May 27, 1950. Jake was an intelligent, kind and compassionate man. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved Flathead Lake, fishing and water sports. He worked in the lumber industry all of his life and retired from Champion International in 1984. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Missoula, and was honored to be worshipful master of a local Masonic Lodge. Arnold Hubert "Jake" Jacobson passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008, at Hillside Manor in Missoula, Montana. He was 85.
❦ Survived By: His wife, Blanche; his daughters: Mary Hillstrom (Richard) and Patricia VanSickle (Peter); his son, Bob (Janelle); his sisters, Sylvia McKenzie and Celia Meadows; and his brother, Raymond Jensen; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
