Clinton E. Haney, age 78 of Greenfield passed away October 16, 2023, in Indianapolis. He was born October 5, 1945, in Indianapolis to the late Russell N. and Maisy F. (Burrow) Haney.

Clinton was a 1963 graduate of Greenfield High School and prior to retirement was an ironworker through Local 22 and taught ironworkers' apprenticeship classes. He enjoyed spending time at the Greenfield VFW Post #2693. He was an avid fisherman, both of Indiana lakes and Lake of the Woods in Canada, where he took an annual trip for nearly 30 years. He also loved to play tennis, winning some local tournaments. He loved having breakfast with friends at Bob Evans.

He is survived by his children, Barbara (Robert) Riddle and Joe (Heather) Haney; grandchildren: Keegan Riddle, Kira (Henry) Schnabel, Caleb Riddle, Michael Haney, and Rebecca Haney; sister, Louanna Canter; and several lifelong friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; infant son and twin of Joe, John Haney; first wife and mother of his children, Cora Abbott Haney DeMaster; also his wife, Melva Dean Haney of 25 years; and many lifelong friends.

Visitation will be 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Friday, October 20, 2023, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. A private burial will take place at Park Cemetery at a later date.
