Robert A. Abell, passed away September 10th, 2021 in Granbury, TX surrounded by family. A visitation will be held from 3pm to 5pm on Sunday, September 26th, 2021, followed by the rosary at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lincoln, KS. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday September 27th at 10 am at St. Patrick's Church with a celebration of life to follow.

Robert was born December 5th, 1953 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Bob and Mary Jo (Shaffer) Abell. Robert lived in Salina, KS and attended Sacred Heart Grade School before moving to Barnard. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1972 where he was involved in sports, National Honor Society, and was Sr. Class President. He was a member of the 4-H club and St. Patrick's Church. Robert attended KSU and was on the football and track teams, he then went on to play football and run track at Bethany College where he graduated with honors in 1976.

Robert worked for KPL in Manhattan and surrounding areas where he was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church and President of the Tuttle Creek Ski Club. Later moving to Wichita, he worked for Steris Corporation for 24 years moving up to National Director ASC's. He retired in Granbury, Tx in 2021.

He married Connie Cranor on July 5th, 1997, in Wichita, KS. Robert loved being with family and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved to golf and travel. Robert never met a person he didn't like.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jo Abell and a nephew Mitch Abell.

He is survived by his wife Connie Abell; children: Megan McAtee, Leah Abell, Sara Hester and husband John; grandchildren: Brayden Jackson, Cash Abell, Beckett Hester and Brynlee Hester; father, Bob Abell; siblings: David Abell and wife Marla, Monte Abell and wife Jacque, Leesa Frederking and husband Ron, Mark Abell and wife Roberta, Brett Abell, and extended family and friends.
