Harvey T. Adams

Harvey Tillmon Adams, 83, of Fort Valley died Dec. 25, 1990 at Heritage Hall Health Care Center in Front Royal. The funeral was conducted Dec. 28 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Fort Valley by the Rev. Crockett Huddle. Burial was in Panorama Memorial Gardens at Waterlick.

Mr. Adams was born Jan. 18, 1907, at Pilot Mountain, N.C., the son of the late B.S. and Susie Collins Adams. He was retired from FMC Corp. after 32 years and a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, Unity Lodge 146, AF&AM, of Front Royal, Alexandria Scottish Rite Bodie and the Acca Temple Shrine in Richmond. He was the husband of the late Emily Jane Adams.

Surviving are three sons, Tim Adams of Old Fort, N.C., David Adams of San Diego and Stephen Adams of Fort Valley; a sister, Nonnie Hoskins of Vinton; two step-sisters, Frances Turpin of Vinton and Pauline Batten of Roanoke, and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers were members of the Unity Lodge 146, AF&AM.

Arrangements were handled by Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal.
