Delores June Abbott, 89, passed away Saturday, Decemeber 2, 2023, at her home in Auburn. She was born August 23, 1934, in Rochester, Indiana to Oscar and Ruth Abbott.
June was admitted to the Fort Wayne State Developmental Center when she was 8 years old. She lived there for 47 years. She then moved to Oak Meadows in Auburn at the age of 55 and lived there for several years before moving to a Rescare Waver Home in Auburn. She loved all the staff at Rescare.
A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2023, at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1605 Cener St., Auburn, with Rev. Dr. Robert Craig officiating.
