Rancho Cordova - Former Shasta County resident William "Ernie" Ernest Allen, 83, of Rancho Cordova died Saturday, May 4, 2002, at Casa Colma nursing home in Rancho Cordova.
Services were conducted at McDonald's Chapel in Redding.
Burial will be at the Ogburn/Inwood Cemetery in Shingletown.
Born May 21, 1918, in Jackson Hole, Wyo., he moved to Shasta County in 1938.
He was a self-employed contractor, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Arrangements are being handled by McDonald's Chapel in Redding.
