Ralph Wayne Abell, 69 of Marion passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 at his daughter's home in Waverly. Ralph was born on July 25, 1954 in Morganfield to the late David Christopher Abell and Louetta Faye Williams Lynch.

He was a coal miner and had worked at Island Creek and Ohio #11, he was a member of Cave Springs General Baptist Church in Crittenden County.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a son Shane Hunt.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years Evonne, 3 daughters Rebecca Seay(Joey) of Sturgis, Leah French(Michael) of Waverly, Kristin Belt(Jared) of Marion, 1 son Matthew Abell (Abigail) of Pinckneyville, 2 brothers Roger Abell(Rita) of Greenwood, IN, Russ Abell(Kim) of Wabash, IN, 12 grandchildren Lauren Wright(Chris), Alyssa Wickham(Matt) all of Princeton, Wade Moore of Louisville, Elizabeth and Brayden French both of Waverly, Kyzer Abell of Pinckneyville, Madison Hunt of Livingston County, Jacob Hunt(Ashley), Raylee, Shelbi, Tia Belt all of Marion, Laylee Seay of Sturgis, 8 great-grandchildren Karstyn Moore, Thomas and Bailey Wright, Oaklee and Landon Wickham, Shane and Cade Hunt, Macy LaRue.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Brother Heath Martin officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 19, 2023 10:00 AM till service time at the funeral home.
