Ruth was the daughter of Charles Logan Addis and Cora Belle (Taylor) Addis. She graduated from Okeene High School and obtained her teaching degree from Central State University at Edmond. Later, she earned her masters degree at Oklahoma A&M at Stillwater. She taught school for many years in New Mexico, Henrietta and Okeene. From 1943 to 1045 she served her country with the WAC in ballistics research at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Okeene. She was preceeded in death by her parents, a brother, and four sisters. Survivors include her sister, Blanch Haworth, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services and interment were held in the Roselawn Cemetery, at Okeene, Monday, May 5, with the Rev. Jesse Stein officiating. Arrangments were by Wilkinson Mortuary of Okeene. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cardiac Monitor Fund at the Okeene Hospital.
