Sudden Death of Mrs. Frank Abbott.
Mrs. Carrie Stella ABBOTT, wife of Frank ABBOTT, died suddenly last Friday night after a short illness. The cause of death was puerperal convulsions, following the birth of a son on Thursday. The infant died Saturday noon.
Carrie Stella RAWN, youngest daughter of Mrs. Caroline RAWN was born in Jefferson County, Kan., July 1, 1887., and died at Valley Falls, Kansas, June 23, 1916, aged 28 years, 11 months and 22 days.
At Valley Falls July 14, 1908, Carrie RAWN was married to Frank ABBOTT. To this union four children were born, of whom only one, Stella Ella, 6 years old, with the father survive.
Mrs. ABBOTT is survived by her mother, one brother, William E. RAWN, and two sisters, Mrs. Nora AUGUSTINE of Newton, Kansas and Mrs. Nettie BROWN of Valley Falls.
The funeral for mother and baby was held from the Christian church Sunday afternoon, Rev. Chas. H. KIMBALL conducting the services in the presence of many friends.
The burial was in the Farrar cemetery, the babe at rest in the arms of mother.
In their double sorrow the bereaved families have the sympathy of many friends.
