NORTH VERNON --- Margaret Mary Abbott, 67 of Sunnyside Drive, died at her home at 11:41 a.m. Monday following an extended illness.
She retired in 1981 from the housekeeping department of Muscatatuck State Hospital.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Dove and Sharp Funeral Home in North Vernon where calling will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at the Vernon Cemetery.
Mrs. Abbott was born Feb. 19, 1919, in North Vernon, to Allen Taylor and Maggie Hartwell. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge, both of North Vernon.
Survivors include a son, Harold Wayne Hartwell of Cedar Grove, Tenn.; three sisters, Virgie Beesley of Scipio, Dorothy Chalmers, and Jessie Locke, both of North Vernon; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
