Art M. Hellman was born August 16, 1948, to Marcus and Anna (Schaff) Hellman of Glen Ullin, ND. He died at his home in Marion, ND, on August 10, 2018, following a lengthy illness. Art, who was a U.S. Army veteran, had been a long-time teacher at the Litchville-Marion Public School.


He is survived by siblings Jane Phillip, Carol (Felix) Fettig, Dennis (Patti) Hellman, Anita Hellman, and Blaine (Mary Jo) Hellman, as well as many relatives, former students, and friends. Art was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law Phillip.


Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 16 at Eddy Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, August 17 at Marion Lutheran Church, Marion, ND with Pastor Mark Turner officiating.


Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Marion, ND.
