Mrs. Keelin was born December 19, 1923 in Mexia, Texas to William Edgar and Phoebe Mae (Isbell) Iley. She had lived in Alamogordo since 1955. She was a vice-president of the former Security Bank & Trust from which she retired in 1980. Some of her favorite pastimes were gardening, canning and cooking. She enjoyed cooking for friends and family, especially for her grandchildren, whom she adored and doted on, for their school activities.
Survivors include her husband John D. Keelin of the family home; a son Herb White and his wife Grace of Alamogordo; a daughter Carolyn White of Alamogordo; two grandchildren, Matthew and Angelyn White of Alamogordo; a step granddaughter Robyn Leary of Buffalo, New York; and two step great grandchildren, Bailey and Trinton of Buffalo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Herbert White, in 1979; a brother Samuel Iley; and two sisters, Edwena Acheson and Angeline Jackson.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the Hamilton-O'Dell Chapel with the Rev. Lester Stone officiating.
Interment will follow in Monte Vista Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tom Simpson, Joe Flores, Ray Herrera, Curtis Nelson, Maurice Hobson and Matthew White. Honorary pallbearers will be Dorsey Bonnell, Leaden Posey, Harvey Hinkle and Warren Clendenon.
