Daughter of of the late Wiley "Dick" Walton and Littie Richards Walton, she graduated from Shattuck High School in 1929. She graduated from Northwestern College in Alva, OK.
She was taught in one-room rural schools in Elis County, OK, for five years. She married John Q. Adams on Janaury 1, 1936, in Fairview, OK. She was a member of Fargo United Methodist Church and was a longtime member of Order of Eastern Star. After moving to Woodward, OK, she was a member of Woodward United Methodist Church and she particiated in Woodard Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, and three siblings. She was survived by one daughter, Virginia Adams Semrad; two son, R. D. and Howard Adams; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and an extended family of relatives and friends. Her funeral was officiated by The Rev. Ray Blakely.
