Mrs. Hawkins had been residing with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Aarons, in Enterprise since her illness.
Funeral services were held at 3 pm Friday, April 6 in the Rosin Creek Pentecostal Church near Harrisonburg with the Rev. T. E. Miller and the Rev. N. B. Hawkins officiating. Burial followed in Heard Cemetery.
Other survivors include her husband, J. C. Hawkins of Baton Rouge; one daughter, Mrs. Linda Gale Weeks of Harrisonburg; one son, Lavelle Hawkins of Enterprise; three other brothers, Manuel Aarons of Houston, Texas, Pete Aarons of Vidalia, and Tom Aarons of Enterprise; and three sisters, Mrs. Lou Tucker and Mrs. S. G. Teekle, both of Monroe, and Mrs. J. A. Franks of Enterprise.
