Mary "Eureka" Stephens, 86, of Springfield passed away Friday March 28, 2008 at the Regency Nursing Care Facility.

Mrs. Stephens was born July 4, 1921 in Greensburg, Kentucky to Leslie and Luona Popplewell Foley. She married Caleb Powers Stephens October 12, 1941 in Jamestown, Kentucky.

Mr. & Mrs. Stephens owned and operated a convenience store as well as farming. She was of the Christian faith.

Surviving are one son Douglas (Rose) Stephens of Los Alamos, NM., one daughter

Brenda (Norm) Taylor of Petersburg, Il, three grandchildren Dr. Timothy (Jill) Taylor of Phoenix, Az., Sandra Stephens of Decatur, Ga., and Dr. Annette Stephens of Decatur, Ga., one great granddaughter Brooke Taylor of Phoenix, Az., three brothers Leslie (Tina) Foley of San Jose, Ca., Bert (Lola) Foley of Shepardsville, Ky., Donald Clyde (Joyce) Foley of Glen Burnie, Md., four sisters Janice Aaron of Salem Or. Jane (Ted) Aaron of Sheridan, Or., Tyva Diane (Paul) Russell of Eustis, Fl., and Allie Jean (Richard) Morgan of Oley, Pa..

She is preceded in death by her husband Caleb, and one infant daughter Linda June Stephens

Burial will be in Lucenda Cemetery on Bernard Ridge Road, Russell Springs, KY.
